"We all know the holidays
can be a hard time for those living alone
and on fixed incomes. But, really, they can
be hard for anyone. Giving something of
yourself, joining with others to give the
gift of music and hospitality to others,
makes everyone feel a little brighter."
--Dr. Patrick Arbore, director of the IOA's
Friendship Line, a 24-hour support line
for depressed, lonely, and suicidal elders.
