It is difficult--impossible perhaps more accurately--to fully appreciate the total wonderful contribution of the Busch family
to St. Louis. And, while virtually the entire world is acquainted
with the Anheuser-Busch brewery, less known is the landmark Bevo Mill

Although St. Louis is likely best-known for its Italian cuisine and not
its steaks, Citizen Kane's Steak House in suburban Kirkwood has rapidly
gained a reputation for its outstanding steaks--and with good reason...click

For those who long for a restaurant of
the warmth and intimacy of supper clubs of what seems to be a bygone
era, complete with an urbane quality that makes your visit a truly
enjoyable dining experience, do not despair...

There are certain restaurants that have
discovered the secrets of staying power--excellent food, ambiance, an
intimate and warm environment that generates repeat business, and a
commitment to excellence in all that they do...Baldo's, on Hampton Boulevard in St. Louis, is
such an establishment. For more than 13 years, it has offered some great
Italian dishes served in one of the most European settings of any St.
Louis restaurant...click

St. Louis is a city with many facets,

at the exit of I-55 South and Broadway. But, in addition to its well-maintained
older look, complete with a tin-plate ceiling, and warm, comfortable
dining rooms, Skip's Place Too has other things to offer...click

St. Louis is famous for its wide
selection of family-type taverns (after all, we are the home of
Anheuser-Busch) that feature outstanding meals and specialties.
T.J's. Wings fulfills that tradition in a fantastic way offering what have
become recognized as "the place" to get wings in the city... A small, handsomely (but not
lavishly) decorated bistro setting in the triangle that borders Valley
Park, Twin Oaks and Ballwin, T.J. s Wings is the inspiration of founder
and owner Tanya Lawless and her husband, Rob Biggs....click

During our many visits to the Galena Territory, we have not ventured past
the West city limits of Galena. There seemed to be no reason...at least
then...But that was our loss. There is a wide world of things to do and see in
Jo Davies County, of which Galena is the county seat. And, our first venture
reaped a dining reward that is among the best we have enjoyed in some time--Timmerman’s
Restaurant, in East Dubuque, IL , only a short 10 miles
from Galena...click here for
