Paula Deen
makes something for everyone and shares
secret time-saving tips for the ultimate
Holiday Feast
November
2007 (Medialink) - For most of us, winter
holiday memories are intertwined with the
smells and tastes of favorite family dishes
such as the aroma of roasting chicken, the
warm spicy taste of pumpkin pie, or the cold
tartness of a special cranberry salad.
Certainly, family and friends can look
forward to the cook's tried and true
recipes. While some dishes can be
time-intensive, it's also nice to balance
that with dishes that are quick and easy to
prepare so that you can spend more time
visiting with family and friends.
Paula Deen, celebrity cook, author and TV
personality known for her "down-home"
personality and traditional Southern
cooking, gives time-saving tips to help you
make the most of your cooking time. She says
the most important thought for holiday meal
planning is to consider including something
for everyone and that will make it special
at your home.
In the 1990's, Paula opened her popular
Savannah restaurant, The Lady and Sons,
which remains a popular and successful
Savannah restaurant today. Since then she's
authored four cookbooks, has a lifestyle
magazine called Cooking with Paula Deen and
her own TV shows, Paula's Home Cooking and
Paula's Party on the Food Network. Two of
her most recent cookbooks include Paula Deen
Celebrates and her memoir, Paula Deen: It
Ain't All About the Cookin'. Forbes recently
named Deen on its 2007 Celebrity 100 List of
The Most Powerful People in Show Business.
