A new program designed
to prevent and identify fraud and abuse in the Medicare and Medicaid
systems is up and running in Medina County.
The Med$ave program
(Medicare and Medicaid Dollars Saved by Advocates and Volunteer
Educators), a project of the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging,
provides community education presentations to senior groups and/or
one-on-one counseling to older adults who have questions about fraud.
The program is
coordinated in Medina County by the Office for Older Adults.
For additional information on volunteer opportunities or to schedule
a presentation for your senior group, call Med$AVE Volunteer Coordinator,
Michelle Hearns, at the OOA at 723-9514, 336-6657 or 225-7100.
