The Lifeline Program® publishes Retirement Guide for Seniors, Baby Boomers; ‘How Life Insurance Can Save Your Retirement’ available for Download

June 6, 2011--Life insurance settlement company The Lifeline Program® today published a how-to guide for seniors and baby boomers titled “How Life Insurance Can Save Your Retirement.” The guide, downloadable for free at www.thelifeline.com/en/WhitePaper, offers helpful information on how seniors and boomers can use their existing life insurance policies within their retirement plan to bolster their golden years.

“When it comes to retirement, we are a country in crisis”

Company executives were shocked by recent research that shows that as many as 25% of baby boomers have saved nothing for retirement. The baby boom generation, the 76 million Americans born between 1946 and 1964, have begun to reach retirement age. In fact, 10,000 boomers a day reach age 65, but many of them have no retirement savings. The executives believe that life settlements provide a new alternative to helping fund retirement, and they are advocating that baby boomers near retirement-age should begin planning now for a potential life settlement in the future.

“When it comes to retirement, we are a country in crisis,” said Stephen Terrell, senior vice president of The Lifeline Program. “Seniors and boomers need to review their financial options and take a fresh look and approach at funding their retirement.”

“How Life Insurance Can Save Your Retirement” offers several informative articles that illustrate how life settlements can complement current financial planning and retirement planning, how life settlements work, and how term insurance which is often allowed to lapse can be a hidden investment treasure. The guide also includes links to informative videos featuring the company’s promotional spokesperson Betty White.

“We urge anyone who is concerned about their retirement to download this guide,” said Terrell. “For some, a normal retirement may be out of reach, but for others, life insurance and life settlements may provide an answer.”

The company’s how-to guide “How Life Insurance Can Save You Retirement” is available for free download at www.thelifeline.com/en/WhitePaper and also can be viewed at http://eon.businesswire.com/news/eon/20110601006218/en/betty-white/retirement/baby-boomers.

The Lifeline Program is a life settlement provider based in Atlanta, Ga., and is a division of Wm. Page and Associates, Inc. For more information on life settlements, contact Stephen Terrell of The Lifeline Program at 770-724-7300 or visit www.thelifeline.com.
