Actor
Kirk Douglas talks to B'nai B'rith Magazine
about turning 90, his Family, his faith - and
his MySpace page
WASHINGTON,
April 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- He surfs the
Internet, works out at the gym, won the
Presidential Medal of Freedom, just turned 90 --
and isn't letting up.
Actor Kirk Douglas had something important to
say to his grandkids and the youth of America,
so he wrote it down in his ninth book, "Let's
Face It: 90 Years of Living, Loving, and
Learning," released in April.
In an interview with B'nai B'rith Magazine,
Douglas recounts how he has faced some of the
tragedies in his life, including his stroke more
than a decade ago and the suicide of his son
Eric in 2004. He also relates his history of
humanitarian and social activity -- including
being a catalyst in ending the left-wing
hunting, McCarthy-era blacklist on Hollywood
personalities.
The venerable actor, however, does not just
dwell on the past: He focuses on society's
present ills and worries about the youngest
generation that will inherit them.
