How one citizen says 'Thanks' to
Veterans

It's Saturday November 11, 2000.
This is the day the U.S. observes Veteran's Day, and Canada observes
Remembrance Day.
If you know a Veteran, someone in your
family, friend of the family, neighbor, who served their country, take a
brief moment of your day to thank them.
Thank them for the sacrifice they made
for the better good of their country. I am thankful for every soldier
who has served our great nation and a single day hardly seems sufficient
for recognition.
So, to the men and women who answered
the call in both times of war and peace, thank you. Your service
was and always will be appreciated by the majority of us who are
fortunate enough to say we live in the most prosperous republic on the
face of the earth.
We salute you with every bit of the
honor, and reverence your service deserves. The commitments, such as
those you made, keeps us free, and a model for many other nations to
follow. Your service counted.
Our debt of gratitude will never be
complete. Thank you for your service to our country.
