You Might
Be Getting OLD If . . .
Redesigned, Republished as eBook
The second edition of the popular
200 Sure-Fire, Lead-Pipe-Cinch,
No-Question-About-It Ways To Tell If . .
.You Might be Getting OLD!, by
senior humorist and author Michael Garee,
has been completely redesigned and
republished as an eBook.
Garee’s book was inspired by comedian Jeff Foxworthy’s “You Might Be a
‘Redneck’ If . . .” series of books and
other publications. It was also dedicated to
Foxworthy and favorably reviewed by the
famous comedian.
The new eBook is available NOW for immediate purchase and download on
this site, at
www.youmightbegettingoldif.com and at
other popular sites throughout the Web, for
the reduced price of $9.99. (The first
edition in paper back is priced at $11.50)
The first edition of You Might Be Getting
OLD If . . .was published in paper back last
year and has been a “top 100” seller in
various humor and family categories a number
of times on Amazon.com, the world’s largest
book seller. (The first edition is still
available through Amazon.com and most other
major book retailers, both online and in
many book stores.)
“I got involved in eBook publishing earlier
this year when I helped a friend and former
business colleague edit and publish his
eBook,” Garee said. “I became quite excited
about the dynamic possibilities offered by
this relatively new mode of book publishing
and decided I needed to apply this emerging
technology to my own book.”
About one-third of the second edition eBook
contains totally new material, i.e.,
“one-liners” about “getting old,” and the
entire book is now in full color. The first
edition paper back featured full color on
the front and back covers only.
“Over the past year I have heard from many
readers,” Garee said. “And they weren’t shy
about telling me exactly what they liked—completewith
suggestions to make the book even more
enjoyable.”
Now the new eBook publishing provides a
flash of excitement not available through
traditional publishing.
“With an eBook, an author can literally
make changes daily, even after the book is
published, if he or she is so inclined,”
Garee said. “All that’s required is to make
edits or any other changes and then
republish the digital document.
Garee said that, over the years, he has
become much more environmentally conscious
as well, which also was a driving factor in
his considering eBook publishing for the
second edition of his book.
“I don’t consider myself a ‘tree-hugger’ by
any stretch of the imagination,” he said,
“but if we don’t start paying more and
better attention to our environment, many
parts of this planet could ultimately turn
into a wasteland, particularly our forested
areas. No tree has to be cut down to print
an eBook.”
Garee’s new eBook is in Adobe® Acrobat format and can easily
be downloaded to a buyer’s computer, as long
as he or she has Adobe® Acrobat
Reader installed on it (most computers today
come with the program automatically
installed). A FREE version of Adobe®
Acrobat Reader can be downloaded at
www.adobe.com.
“A few people wondered about me publishing an eBook because they
mistakenly believe ‘seniors’ still don’t
feel all that comfortable with computers and
new technology,” Garee said, “but that’s
just plain nonsense, as far as I’m
concerned.
"I am sixty-seven years old and I will match my computer knowledge and
skills with anyone, of any age. And if I
ever have a question about computers or any
programs, guess whom I turn to? My
sixty-nine-year-old computer ‘guru’ friend,
who has literally forgotten more about
computers and software than many younger
people know! So there!”
